Unintended "original intent"

A lot of originalists have fallen into the very error the founding fathers were concerned about, and in fact that is why they wrote the 9th. They didn't want the affirmations of the first 8 Amendments to imply that those were your only rights and government held sway over everything else.

Ironically for the originalists, the founding fathers were afraid of future americans taking an "originalist" approach...
